The Orange County Fire Authority contributes 100% towards Reserve Firefighter’s dental, orthodontia, and vision care premiums.

The Orange County Fire Authority contributes 100% towards the Reserve Firefighter’s life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance premiums. insurance Coverage is $10,000 for Reserve Firefighters up to age 69, $6,500 for Reserves age 70-74, and $5,000 for those 75 years and older.

Reserve Firefighters are eligible for up to $200 per fiscal year to cover their expenses associated with academic pursuits.

After every five (5) years of continuous community service, a Reserve Firefighter receives an Authority Service Award Pin and Certificate.

• Emergency Response: $8.00

• Emergency Response (more than 8 hours, but less than 16 hours): $25.00

• Emergency Response (more than 16 hours, but less than 24 hours): $50.00

• Emergency Response (more than 24 hours will receive a stipend for each additional 8 hours): $25.00

• Each 8 Hours Scheduled Weekly Drills (maximum of 2 per pay period): $15.00 Per Drill

• Special Activities Approved by Chief Officer (moving apparatus, additional drills, updating maps, etc., 4 hours or less): $15.00 Per Activity

• Special Activities Above (more than 4 hours up to 10 hours): $25.00 Per Activity

• Special Training Activities (other than weekly drills 4 hours or less): $15.00

• Special Training Activities (other than weekly drills more than 4 hours up to 10 hours: $25.00

• OCFA Orientation (4 hours or less): $15.00

• OCFA Orientation (more than 4 hours up to 10 hours): $25.00

• Cover Assignments (Emergency/Pre-arranged Covers receive additional stipend of $8.00 for each emergency call they respond to while covering that fire station.): $15.00 Per Cover

• Senior Reserve Officer (1 per station): $35.00 Per Pay Period

• Company Officer: $20.00 Per Pay Period

• Driver Operator (Level 1 and Fire Crew Only): $15.00 Per Pay Period

• Water Tender Operator (Class B License and Water Tender Certification): $15.00 Per Pay Period

• OCFA Court-Related Court Appearance (does not include standby time): $25.00 Per Day

The Authority provides uniforms to Reserve Firefighters.
